Midivex v1.4.0: Trax, a Drum Sequencer Built In
Trax, a full generative drum step sequencer, is now built into Midivex, and it ships standalone as Miditrax, included free with your Midivex Pro licence. Plus Bank and Program steppers and two new synths.
Midivex 1.4.0 adds Trax, a full generative drum step sequencer built right into the app. Pick a kit map for your drum machine or a drum VST, generate a groove, then shape it live with swing, ratchets, fills and chance. And because Trax also ships as Miditrax, our standalone drum sequencer, your Midivex Pro licence includes it at no extra cost.
Trax: a drum sequencer, built in
Trax turns Midivex into a drum machine. Generate a beat from a style and density, then push it with Variation, Cymbals and Percussion. Every step does far more than on or off, with per-step Velocity, Ratchet, Gate, Pitch, Octave, Chance, Timing and Length. Build up to eight patterns per beat, each with its own Fill, and queue the next one live at the bar. Swing, accents and micro-timing keep the groove human, and Trax drives any MIDI drum machine or multitimbral synth in your rig.
Miditrax, included free
Sometimes you just want beats with nothing else in the way. Miditrax is Trax on its own, a focused standalone app for when you do not need the full routing rig open. Your Midivex Pro licence unlocks Miditrax Pro, so you already own it. Just download Miditrax and register it with the same Midivex Pro licence code that was emailed to you, then play.

Bank and Program steppers
Every active device now has plus and minus buttons for Bank, Sub Bank and Program, so you can audition patches on your synth without diving into front-panel menus. The steppers are MIDI-mappable too.
Two new synths in the database
The Roland JD-990 and JV-2080 join the synth preset database, bringing it to 30 supported devices with full patch names ready to recall.
